Bharath Ram Lokkur

Bharath has over fifteen years of experience related to Equities, Debt, Corporate Finance and M&A. He has worked with several leading companies on fund raising and M&A mandates and has built significant relationships with businesses, private equity and venture capital firms investing in India.

He started his career with the high yield research team at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, based in New York. On returning to India, he worked with prominent firms like PwC, KPMG and Grant Thornton in their corporate finance teams. He has extensive experience in advising companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, valuations and raising capital from private equity funds. He has worked with companies on several domestic and cross-border transactions across sectors including technology, IT services, consumer, manufacturing, oil & gas and healthcare. His clients included domestic companies as well as multinational companies.

Bharath also served as Chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry - Young Indians (CII-Yi) of the Bangalore Chapter for two years. He currently serves on the National Governing Council of CII-Yi. He is also the past member of the NASSCOM GIC committee in Karnataka.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Bangalore University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison - School of Business in the US. At UW-Madison, he was part of the Applied Security Analysis Program (ASAP) where students managed a portfolio of investments.

Geetha Prabhakar

Geetha has been a Director of Lokkur Stocks and Shares Private Limited since 1997. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore and subsequently completed her Master’s degree from Central College in Bangalore. She has been actively involved in several philanthropic projects in the past.

Stern School of Business, New York, Kartik focuses on Private Equity and Venture Capital Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate and Securities Law. He has led many large public and private deals. Kartik also has significant experience in some of the largest private equity and M&A transactions in India.

Previously, Kartik was a Partner at Nishith Desai Associates - a leading Indian tax and TMT law firm, General Counsel to Nirvana - a mid-tier BPO Company, Legal Counsel at ChrysCapital - one of India's largest Private Equity Funds, a Senior Associate at Dua Associates, and a Senior Consultant in the Legal Division at Arthur Andersen in Mumbai. Kartik has also served as Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Sub-Committee and currently serves as the Regional Representative for Asia on the Securities Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Kartik has been recognized as a "Recommended" lawyer in Private Equity / Venture Capital by the Practical Law Company and as a leading Individual in the Corporate, M&A and Private Equity field by Chambers & Partners in their Asia guides. Kartik has also been included in the top 25 established "second generation" Indian Corporate Lawyers by RSG Consulting in its India Report 2010.
